All Hallblacks
yarns are labelled with the name and breed of the animal which supplied
the fleece. Mary and Selwyn, along with a number of contracted spinners,
produce a large variety of handspun yarns. Some Navajo plied yarns have
up to thirty colours in them.
Felted Merino
yarns are bought in from a cousin of the family, and Tekapo yarn is provided
by Ashfords.
Natural woollen
fibres will last for decades if well-cared for. Contrary to common belief,
woollen garments are easy to wash. Ask us for advice.
